New Leash

Finally! My human got a retractable leash for me. That's what she calls it anyway. I call it freedom. I get to run up and down the gully and ahead and back on the sidewalk. It's much better than before. Now she doesn't constantly tug on my leash. I make sure that I go back beside her a lot so she doesn't get too lonely and we both have a much better time. By the time we get home I'm usually happy to rest.

Of course, she still doesn't get that I'm meant to chase birds so I've still got to work with her on that. But all in all, she's learning faster than I thought she would.

Hey Sophie!
Thanks to your human talking to my humans, I have a new lead, too. It's great, well, except when they get tangled in the high flowers... It takes the two to walk with me.

No more tugging or sore neck.

Jaxon,

So glad your humans talked with my human. Isn't it great being able to run more? My human could never keep up with how fast and where I want to go!

Woof, Sophy

Hey, we just found your blog and wanted to say woof. We're a pack of four Desert Pups in Arizona. We noticed the mess you made. Tell your Mom to get you a brother or a sister and that would occupy you while she's gone. Or at least give you someone to blame your messes on. Anyway, it's nice to meet you, if you're ever in Tucson, swing by. We'll eat doggie biscuits and chase rabbits.

Woof, woof,

Hi Sophie,

Greetings from Dallas!
We love to run too although we like sleeping quite a lot as well.
And Greenies.

Yeah, the retractable leash is quite good especially when you can't be let off-leash. It does give you some freedom while still being leashed. But the bad thing about it is when it gets wrapped around your hooman's leg & when you pull it. Woah! Your hoomans is gonna get leash burn! Both my mommies were hurt by that leash. Mommy also burn her fingers while trying to get hold of it when I lunged forward to chase after a cat. Stoopid cat! So just make sure your hoomans don't wear short pants & try your best not to hurt your hoomans!

Desert Pups,

So glad you visited! Sounds like you guys have lots of fun together. I'm not sure I want to share my human just yet. And I really didn't mean to cause trouble, I just wanted to see where she was going. I haven't chewed up anything I shouldn't since. Honest, I haven't. Oh, my human says she's visited Tucson and thinks it's a really great place.

Moshi and Kibo,

Hi! I'm so glad you stopped by! I just love running. And greenies--mmmmmmm.

Solid Gold Dancer,

Oooh, yes, my human yelped the one time she tried to grab the leash because I wanted to get the birds. And we both learned pretty fast that I shouldn't wrap it around her legs. You wouldn't believe how fast she can switch hands with it now! And I'm learning that if I wrap it around a pole or a bush I have to go back the other way and unwrap myself.

Woof to all my new friends!
